Mr. Shaishav Bhagat is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at the prestigious Ipswich Spinal Unit, Ipswich Hospital NHS trust (ESNEFT) and affiliated with the Nuffield Hospital, Ipswich, the Oaks Hospital, Colchester, and Pheonix Hospital, Chelmsford.
Mr. Bhagat’s primary expertise is in general Orthopaedics and Trauma, and he has special interest and extensive training in Spinal surgery. He underwent specialist fellowship training in the field of Spinal surgery at the centres of excellence like Cambridge, Cardiff and Norwich. He obtained further experience in various centres in Europe and India. His entire practice is now dedicated to the care of patients with Spinal disorders. He has extensive experience of dealing with a wide variety of Spinal conditions and often provides second opinion and medical reports. Mr Bhagat receives instructions from both claimants and defendants. Mr.Bhagat receives instructions from several national level personal injury law firms and agencies with regards to complex Spinal injuries cases. He enjoys working directly with local solicitors whenever possible.
Appointments are routinely offered within 1-2 weeks of instruction and can be accommodated sooner based on urgency. Expert reports are typically produced within 10 days depending on the complexity.
Mr. Bhagat has published a number of peer reviewed articles on various topics within the field of Trauma and Orthopaedics. His publications in European Spine Journal have been cited by a number of authors. He is currently a principle investigator for global multi centre study on minimally invasive techniques of lumbar spine fusion. He has been involved in preparation of a number of medico-legal reports relating to personal injury. He is experienced in providing opinion on complex spinal problems.
He has received extensive training in preparing medico-legal reports at Bond Solon courses.
